ALTACEF 1.5GM INJECTION contains Cefuroxime which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat bacterial infections such as lower respiratory tract infections, meningitis, septicemia, abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, ear, nose and throat infections, obstetric and gynecological infections, bone, joint infections and gonorrhea. ALTACEF 1.5GM INJECTION is also used to prevent infections, before and after surgery.

Tell your doctor before receiving ALTACEF 1.5GM INJECTION if you have or had a history of kidney or liver diseases, fungal diseases or diarrhoea. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor before receiving ALTACEF 1.5GM INJECTION. Inform your doctor if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to cephalosporins, penicillin or any antibiotics before receiving the medicine.
